i am an avid builder and paddler in the greater washington DC area. I started building stitch and glue designs in the early 90's.

most of the work i have done is with the CLC line of boats but i also have built mark rogers/superior kayak designs (night hawk). i have also completed a modified night heron high deck strip-built and an annapolis wherry. most recently, i completed a stitch and glue shearwater. I am currently working on a strip-built Petrel.

in addition to building, i enjoy paddling. I paddle all seasons in diverse conditions putting on several hundred miles a year. i do a lot of my paddling with groups here in the DC area. i would describe myself as a strong paddler and i will race on occassion in touring class kayaks. i am also a competent roller.
