I'm building a Redfish Spring Run and my 7 yr old son asks me weekly "when are you going to build me a kayak?". So, I've decided to build him one and am having some difficulty deciding which boat would be suitable for a 7 yr old. I'm considering a Redfish Parr and have received some positive feedback on it and am also considering a Pygmy Osprey 13.

Have any of you built a boat for your kids that you think may be a good boat for me to consider? I would like it to be usable for a few years befor he outgrows it and would it to be a reasonable performing boat so he can paddle with me.

Any thoughts??
