I used it on my wife's kayak (s&g) and I might have had too much stress on it and a couple of the moby's broke loose. I think someone else on this board had them break loose also. Check on CLC's web site. They have a system that uses a couple of pieces of hardwood and a hook screwed into them. Looks like its easier than the Mobys.
