Thanks, John and Bill. I'm building the single chine version as well (mostly for its simplicity - first build). I assume that the more weight in the boat, the less it will want to sit on one side or the other, but maybe that's not true (I'm 145 lb). This will be my first hard chine boat, are there advantages to keeping the 'V'? Like will it carve turns better?
