Actually, it is not the same thing. Try Cotol and toluene side by side and I think you'll find they are quite different. I've been meaning to do the Cotol-Toulene test for quite a while and I finally remembered to do it the last time I had the aquaseal out. The Cotol thinned aquaseal was dry to the touch in less than 30 minutes and felt completely cured at around two hours. The toulene thinned aquaseal was only just a little better than the aquaseal straight from the tube and at two hours was still very sticky. The toulene thinned aquaseal did spread better than the stuff straight from the tube, but if you're looking for an accelerated cure you need to spend the $$ for the Cotol. I think Cotol is worth it, especially for field repairs, turning a 24 hour cure into 2 hour cure.
