Ian,
I'm hand planing the strips in the second boat. My skills are developing but bad a few joints that needed a bit of filler. However, after classing and flipping over to stRt stripping the deck, I see lots of strips where the bevel does not match the adjoining strip very well. But, that's on the inside so ne real worries here. If I ever decide to build a strip canoe, I'll need to get much better at beveling or use B&C...... I'll post some pics of the glassed deck tomorrow. I think it came out fine especially since this boar is being built to be used for day trips and camping.....
