I'm in the process of building my first kayak, a Guillemot Great Auk. I'm fairly new to kayaking. I've just been out on local lakes with rented tupperware and a couple outings in Hawaii. I really enjoy the efficiency and simplistic nature of kayaking and working with wood is equally pleasing. Hobbies include building and flying r/c gliders, r/c sailboats, kites and boomerangs. Sailing, soaring, model railroading, and photography also capture my attention. I have decided not to use staples or cove and bead right from the get go. So far the build has been going well and it's been very enjoyable. Can't wait to get it on the water. I'm already planning on a second build, maybe a Redfish King or Cape Ann Storm. I'm hooked!
