Dear 'Brains trust',

I am up to the stage of filling in the cockpit on my Expedition Single and would appreciate some advice on options for the rear of the cockpit. The pic does not quite show that there is a fair bit of slope at the centreline. I am using 6mm x 19mm (1/4 X 3/4") planks. The plank shown in the pic is the 2nd plank. I had thought that the 1st plank may need to be somewhat thicker...say 1/2" so that when the slope is accounted for there is still some 'meat' to join to the 2nd plank.
What have others done?
Advice (and pics) greatly appreciated.
