Live in Maine on a river with 17 miles of waterway, 66 years old, Vietnam Combat Veteran, married 27 years, politically left. Enjoy the outdoors, hiking, biking, boating and now kayaking. Experienced in carpentry, electricity and plumbing, mostly from having owned 3 homes in need of repair. Currently volunteer as maintenance man for our church. Recently converted a 16 foot Jonboat to a Bassboat with 4 seats and extended fishing decks.

Just got into kayaking and bought a used 16 foot Old Town Loon tandem kayak for touring, no whitewater or racing for me. Just bought a 13 foot handmade cedar strip single kayak that needs work. Kayak needs to be refinished, add a seat and foot rests. Major project for me is creating and adding the combing. Hopefully people here can steer me in the right direction.
