My vote is on the NRS Toaster Mitts - http://www.nrsweb.com/shop/product.asp?pfid=24472
Finger gloves are useless in frigid water. I paddle year round here in Newfoundland where the salt water runs from 1 degree Celsius in winter to about 13 in summer. Actually, your hands can almost get too warm - even during winter paddling. But I'd rather have too warm as opposed to numbing cold with no use of the digits!!
I also paddle GP exclusively.
Just my 2 cents!!

: Ice out is not far off and Ill be itchin to get into water.
: For GP paddling whats everyones favorite type of glove (neoprene or
: shell) or actual model.
: Im a Diver and have a Half dozen cold water dive gloves/Mitts but
: the dexterity isnt there as they are all to thick or stiff for
: paddling.
: many thanks
