This is essentially the same technique I'm using - but with WRC.

It might even look 'okay'. But it's a long winter, and at least for now, I don't anticipate I'll have opportunity to start the next boat (hehe).

So perhaps time to consider this my learning curve, get some different wood, and start over. We'll see.
