: In calm conditions you should be ok with your plan. You are correct

: but if there are waves the kayak will turn side on to the waves
: anyway as the wave hits the bow first pushing it in front of it
: until level with the stern and then pushes equally along the

Are you fishing or doing something else where you can't use your paddle to make corrective strokes? Just wondering why are you so concerned about needing your bow into the wind.
