Nope, last night we had waves that were running up the front deck and hitting me full in the chest. Actually the Black Pearl cuts through waves rather than riding over them so it's a constant wet ride. Ocean swells just roll right under you (until they come very near shore and start to roll and break.) The waves last night were whipped up quickly by the wind throughout the day, so they were pretty steep. The wind wasn't blowing long enough and there's not a whole lot of fetch to develop large rolling swells. When we get a good N or NE wind for a few days on end, that's when we get some nice swell running in directly off the North Atlantic. Now, those can be fun!!
The picture I provided was of the BP's maiden voyage back in May. I had my camera last night but it was too hard to sit still and take pictures with this boat - it's very tender, so to speak. The Black Pearl is touted as a rolling and rough water play boat, which may account for it's handling in wind and wave.
