I just cut the entire deck off a perfectly good boat that was only about 1.5 years old. I wanted to drop the deck, reshape the cockpit and add a skeg. Chopping into a good boat is not as hard as it may seem, especially if you built it yourself. Why, you may ask? Well, if you built the darn thing, then you can certainly make changes to it - that's my philosophy, anyway!!
