Hey Bill:

I received the printed instructions as well but I can't see in them where to trim to the housing. That same PDF can be found online on the Kajaksport webpage, as well.

Before I posted, I never took the time to see that the housing was only plastic. I was assuming it was made of spiralled metal (like a bike cable housing) and thought that cutting it may present some problems. Now that I See it is only plastic, this is not an issue anymore.
