I have white Brightsides on my boat. This past summer I paddled in water that had some bunker crude oil floating on the surface. It was at night and I couldn't see it until I pulled my boat out of the water and felt my hand slipping on the black slimy mess!! Believe it or not but most just wiped off with a hand towel right after I got my boat out of the water. The next day I used some gas on a rag to remove any slight staining that was left over from the night before.
