Strip: hatch question
I am installing invisable hatches in my Night Heron. I used a razor saw to cut the opening, since I didn't trust my sabre saw skills. Following Nick's instructions from his book, I am using fiberglass tape for the hatch "seat". My question is this: since I used a razor saw, the gap between the hatch and the hull is very tight, it seems to me that I need to slightly trim the hatch cover so that it will seat properly, before sealing the hatch and hull edges with epoxy. Probably common sense, but thought I'd get some input from you experienced folks. Thanks.
PS: cutting the hatch was NERVE WRACKING! :-)
