Strip: Repairing Cedar Strip Kayak w/ photos *PIC*

OK, so I have this 13 foot cedar strip kayak that needs repair. See photos attached. Just took it out and it seems very tippy to me and does not track well. It needs combing. To help with stability and tracking thought of adding a keel. To further help with stability thought of shifting the cockpit / seat position a little to the rear. Any thoughts?
