Thanks for all the help. Now is the time to start working on the kayak deck. Nick's book will be delivered today. First photo show the fiberglass on the deck has lifted. Second, part of the fiberglass on the inside between the hull and deck has separated, but only here and no where else. Third showing the lifted fiberglass is fairly uniform over the entire deck. Can't tell about the hull as it is painted. The First step is sanding down the loose fiberglass to a smooth, even surface but what is next?

Would it be best to sand the fiberglass smooth and re-coat with fiberglass?

Should I sand all the fiberglass off and re-coat with epoxy? Have heard epoxy is better than fiberglass.

Can I sand the fiberglass smooth and apply a layer of epoxy over a well adhered layer of fiberglass?
