The only budget I have is not to spend more than what the boat will be worth when restored. If using Epoxy is not that much more expensive than Polyester or Vinyl Ester AND it will add to to the value of the kayak I would use it. Any thoughts on using MAS, West System or System Three? Are they all Epoxy? Have been told not to use the big box resin, most likely because it is cheap polyester resin.

About to place an order with CLC. Considering all the fiberglass will be removed, top and bottom, any estimates on how much 4 ounce fiberglass cloth I need? The kayak is 13 feet, 6 inches long and is 25 inches wide. Any estimates on how much resin and hardener I will need?

When the fiberglass is removed from the outside I assume the fiberglass strip on the inside will hold the hull and deck together, correct?
