I'm with Bob on this one!! A standard Greenland roll is perhaps the easiest rescue on your body - far less strenuous than an assisted or unassisted re-entry. You are less likely to pull something doing a graceful roll than you are trying to drag yourself back into the kayak. Greenland rolls put me in mind of underwater yoga.

I know a lot of people have no desire nor see any need to learn to roll, but it is a wonderful skill to have in your toolkit!! Your paddling confidence and abilities will skyrocket once you learn to roll!! Well, at least in my humble opinion!

"If you're not getting wet, you're not learning"

As kayakers, we are all just "in between swims" or , in other words, we all capsize at some point!
