Other: Night Heron tracking
My question is not really related to tracking as it is to how the Night Heron moves through a chop. When I chose to build the Night Heron, I did so because it looked like it would cut through a chop cleanly. What I have found is that in modest waves the bow does a lot of "slapping" and I create a wake where my paddling buddies in quality commercial glass sea kayaks are cutting through the waves without any "slapping" and minimal wakes. I built the Night Heron with the high deck, so the bow area is already heavier than the stern area. My only thought is to add some ballast to the bow area. Any thoughts?
