That really looks like a Valley Nordkapp to me. I've yet to see a Valley boat that did not have skeg problems - usually kinked cables at the most inopportune time!! A buddy of mine has a Nordkapp, I went to pick it up by the cockpit coaming to feel the weight and the damn thing started to let loose from the hull at the foredeck. There was evidence of a previous repair so I assume it was not me who broke it. This same boat has seat repairs made as well - seat let loose and had to be epoxied and "steel-plated" back into place. It is approximately 5 years old and these repairs were in the first 4 years or so.

Oh, and I know for a fact that Valley pulls that stunt with the weight. Here's the caveat from their website:

Weights stated are approximations for our standard Diolen construction, excluding hatch covers.

And the worst thing is that these things are SO DAMN EXPENSIVE!!
