I missed it - how do you 'accomodate' the height difference for your hatch cover, in setting up the ledge for the D-gasket? Is your hatch cover flush when on?

I've used the molded ledge per Vaclav, with the foam gasket insert, with only variable success. Yours looks easier/simpler.
