Hi All,

Well the flame boat hit the water today! My son and I went out for a quick paddle in a local pond. The boat tracks like a rocket! With my son in the boat he was able to turn with ease with the rudder locked. I tried it and found it tracks much better than my 18' Guillemot but with my extra weight it is harder to turn. This is really a go straight boat! I was not able to try the rudder as its built and fitted for an eleven year old (my feet were touching the bulk head). If I could figure out a way to make the seat adjustable I would be able to fit it for me as well. I have placed the seat a little farther forward so he can lock his knees in under the braces. I'm still working on the rudder lock so the rudder won't get tested until the rendezvous. Sorry no pics of the boat in the water, I forgot the camera.
