In used 5200 on mine and it has worked fine. although I've heard it can be difficult to remove.
Kajaksport (and Valley) recommend the use of a Sikaflex product that is specifically made to bond ABS plastic, but it involves the use of a primer and a sealer and seemed to me unreasonably expensive as it is not sold in small enough quantities to be cost effective for one or two hatches.
