Randy Echtinaw. 65 yrs. old. Retired building contractor. We have resided in South West Michigan all our lives except for 3 years in Redding Calif.

I built 250 hp - 350 hp aerobatic biplanes for 35 years as a hobby. Usually took 4 years and $40,000 per plane. I needed to find something that costs much less, took much less time and still presented a mental and physical challenge.

My wife Jane and I went to Beaver Island Mich. to take beginner kayak lessons last summer and decided to try to build our own sea kayaks. I tried it and I am already in love with the process. I have MUCH MUCH to learn.
