thanks for the link, I used Paddling.net a few years ago for a ww kayak reference, didn't knew it is so reach in info about sea kayaks,lots of strips also. The lead to John Caldeira's site was a helpfull bonus.

thanks a bunch for the enlightening "straight answer" and for your time . It is really a lot of truth in your writing and clearly expressed. Will surely give me the peace of mind I need to focus on the important stuff. I am ex backpack designer and manufacturer, can well follow your rationale.
