: Hi Dave

: I had this problem on my Guillemot and Guilullemot S. I dealt with
: it best the second time. I think it is OK to wet the wood, I
: used a fine spray of water inside and out. Then I warmed it with
: a heat gun then used a strap clamp and blocks of wood to force
: the strips into place against the forms. I left it clamped for a
: few days 'till I was sure it was dry. I also found there were
: some places where the staples would not hold the strips in
: place. I dealt with that by using dry-wall screws through bits
: of plywood. It left a hole to fill afterwards but it kept the
: strip where it was supposed to be. Hot glue on the inside is
: probably a better method. Using a heat gun to "train"
: the strip before you glue it also helps.

I am going to try everything I can before I drive a screw it the boat, but as a last ditch effort a screw would be quite effective especially if I can't get it to go so I can continue stripping. I do plan on gobbing the inside with hot glue in hopes that it will help in the end.

Dave.
