I used a hot towel today with boiling water. applyed this treatment four time while spraying the inside with boiling water also. I plan on doing this until friday afternoon with the occasional burst from a heat gun of course, and then leaving it over the long weekend to dry out completely then I will take the straps off and see what I got, hopefully close enough to just use a staple but if I need a screw then so be it.
