Hi Dave

I just left it for a few days, with a little heater underneath to take the chill off the winter air. When I pulled the clamps off it sprung back a bit, bit it was a lot better.

I think the key will be the next strip. I'd suggest using a heat gun to shape it to suit the contours, so that it requires no (or minimal) flex to put it in place. Then when you glue it to the existing strips, it will help to keep it all in place, by pulling them to the form.
